Pah, Oprah Winfry channel is a JV with the Discovery channel, the sponsor of his last fraudulent "win".

Put him before the "Little Troll" David Walsh who covered the Tour for the London Times until he got to close to the truth and LA destroyed his career.

Wonder if the wall with the 7 Yellow Jersey's will be the background whistling.gif

Also interesting that he is doing the interview at his place, not before a studio audience…

Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong will discuss in an interview with Oprah Winfrey the doping scandal that caused him to be stripped of his seven Tour de France titles, it was announced overnight. The interview will be aired next week on the Oprah Winfrey Network and streamed online.

CNN, LA Times

Wonder if Noeleen on 3Talk thought she had the chance to get the scoop, after some pretty solid work last time he was here?

More people are going to watch this than the 100m final at the Olympics or the Soccer WC final.

How much do you think Armstrong is gonna be paid for the interview? $100 mil? Of all of the things LA has done this for me is the one that leaves the most bitter taste in my mouth.

He's gonna make a staged tearful apology painting himself as a victim of circumstance and a corrupt system. The questions will be carefully choreographed and he'll even possibly announce a forthcoming book.

Just finished his new book - "7 deadly sins" - interesting read - well worth buying - but I don't think it fair to say LA destroyed his carreer - he still works for the Sunday Times...

I think I can see Dr Phil and Dr Oz warming up in the wings; for a follow-up on the psychological impact of having no alternative but to dope and then being punished for it (Phil) and the effects of doping on the body (Oz) whistling.gif

he'll go one about how he did it to give hope to people suffering from cancer etc.......lame.

i dont care that he doped, its how he lied about it and destroyed people who accused him of it.....at least the likes of Ulrich (random example) just went quietly about it....

David Walsh@DavidWalshST

The more I've thought about it, the less I expect full confession from LA. Part of him still holding on to sense that he has been wronged.

I think I'm going to find it toe-curlingly-cringy & wont be able to watch.

Yes its pre-judging, but i do not see anything honest coming out of this; nor that it will help anyone but LA.

Either it's going to be a saccharine gloss; or a la Tiger Woods, staged mealy-mouthed, half-assed sorrow & regret.

Think i'll just read the highlights after.
