TSS: 1150

IF: 0.87

 

Did do the Ironman 70.3 on the Sunday :)

 

Can you maybe break down the TSS per part?

ie Swim TSS, bike TSS and run TSS

 

I'm interested to see how 'hard' the individual efforts are

For the Durban 70.3 my TSS was

 

Swim 90.7 - 38mins

Bike 230.6 - 2:46 hrs

Run 193.8 - 1:47 hrs

Short week training wise due to work travel and a race at the weekend

Hopefully the quads are rested enough for this week's ramp up and the start of a new half marathon training plan

Slacking big time 276.8 / 3 rides / ?? IF

Last weeks TSS was 0 due to laziness. So feeling better than last Monday! Hoping this thread might get me going, have some formidable goals, can't be slacking right now!

 

How does one get an IF from training peaks, I am on premium.

On dashboard have the chart TSS by week, when you hover over the bar chart for the particular week it will give you TSS and IF

For the different training zones, is there a desired workout IF?

 

It's easy doing 4 blocks at a Wattage level that is say in your Tempo zone for a Tempo workout but the warmup and cool down can be so low that it drops the entire work level to a much lower level

 

asking as a pure TSS number is not the only factor, TSS and IF paints a more truthful picture of what was done.

 

Answering my own question from material I found:

 

0   - 0,75 - Active recovery

0,75 - 0,85 - Endurance

0,85 - 0,95 - Tempo

0,95 - 1,05 - Sweet Spot

1,05 - 1,15 - Threshold

so my IF for last week was 0.65 - I do have a dodgy heart rate monitor strap I need to sort out though, so not really trusting my numbers right now.

Try have 5 weeks of 0 and eating bar ones for supper (yes I really did that) and then getting back on the bike. 

 

I cannot tell you how ugly that is.

Haha thanks for that picture! Most certainly trying to avoid that. That image, should keep the tss in the positive for a while! hehe

 

but hey the struggle is real. I don't know how other people stay consistently fit.
