Okay I am sure he finds it beneficial for his racing.. suppose he's also saving some bucks shopping in the kiddies section ;)

Think it will do him the world of good to put on about 3/4kg's.. it will come in pretty handy when he needs to dig deep in Le Tour.. at the moment there's nothing to shed.. on the edge, eating just enough for the stage etc.. Im no expert, so only opinions here.. we need him to be up there come Le Tour! guys will be wielding swords pretty soon

Didn't Bruce Fordyce say you are 'ready' for Comrades when your grandparents and even strangers in the street want to feed you continuously .....

Is he fatter these days?

Probably picked up 200g from the wedding cake. :whistling: He is so skinny that one would probably see if he picks up that small an amount.

When pulling up next to him on Friday morning, we on our way home and him at the start of a 4:30 training ride, he looked just as one would expect 6 months away from the racing season.

Maybe a kg or 2 away from racing weight but still a concern to an Anorexia clinic.

ps. I should also mention he could not have been more polite, engaging or professional when two MAMILs hijacked his ride.

He always picks up "weight" at this time of the year and then drops it in a matter of weeks and by the time a grand tour comes up he drops even further in a matter of days
