s14phoenix Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 (edited) I think LM needed a team that could invest in him and really push him and believe in him enough to build a team around him and not just chase stages and 1 day glory - There was a time where he was a lot better than the Yates boys and could have gone on to reach higher things. Unfortunately Teams also need to survive and that needs sponsors and funding and those like stage victories and glory. I truly hope LM can find whatever it was he lost and rebuild to become a real contender next to the rest of the top tier. As for Froomey - I hope his focus on TDF this year yields win #5. The dislike is a human nature trait. Most of the reasoning that is constructed to justify it is either flimsy or hypocritical. But people will try and justify their dislike because then it is the other persons doing. One could be honest and say “I just don’t like them, not sure why but I don’t” but then that would imply you don’t like them because of your own humanity, and few are brave enough to admit their own faults.
