It sounds like it. One of the online reviews I read/saw strongly hinted at this. Can't remember which one but the reviewer said they were not allowed to talk about it.

Not that into carbon man! well at least with my mtb. I only have carbon bars as I wanted stiff bars. I find carbon is way to rigid for my comfort.

Indeed, while this 27.5 bike may not be as all-out fast as the analogous 29er, it could be more fun. “It’s designed to be super playful.
