So I go in to CAJEES in Fourways quickly on the way home as I am in the area, to get some lock on grips. They haven't got any so I see some nice green ESI Grips which I think will look good on one of my bikes.

They wanted to charge me R395.00. For a set of ESI grips?

So I complain and the guy tells me discount price R 250.

I was rather rude after that. Told him to put them where the sun don't shine,

What a rip off, what a waste of time.

Makes me acid when they decide to opportunistically price their goods.

I know u get different type of buyers, those that haggle down price, to the lowest possible price and they got no issue with it and they will go back a week later to do the same. ME PERSONALLY I HATE HATE NEGOTIATING GIVE ME YOUR BEST PRICE FIRST OR F/off I am not a idiot, inflating the price to Negotiate and ALL and let the customer THINK HE IS GETTING A DEAL to me is pathetic, find a REAL LBS that has good price(acceptable) build up a relationship doing business and you will see loyalality is rewarded, if this does not happen move on until you find that LBS,,, trust me they easier to find, I have 3 that I don't ask for price, when I order cause I know I will get the best price they can give, and I don't need to sit there like a INDIAN TRADER haggling over pricing,

Most of my early cycling related purchases came from cagees... I only avoided being ripped a new one by googling everything prior to going there and checking the prices.

I got fed up with them when I was tired of getting old stock that had been there for a few years...

Finding a new one has been difficult. between crap pricing and unwillingness to match pricing, having no stock of items I want, and generally bad service, I find myself more and more at Solomons in woodmead.

Pricing is good, always have stock of the stuff I want... Should just start my searched there instead...

It what it is.

I also prefer going somewhere and just buying something without negotiating. That's just me though, there's still plenty folk out there who seem to enjoy the haggle. On the occasion I'm looking for something I'll check Cajees for certain items.

In this day and age it's as much upto the consumer to inform themselves a little bit before committing to purchase.
