Pure Savage Posted August 22, 2013 Share Upgraded the wheelset and replaced bulbars with drops. Are those the novatec rims? How are they?
Jonkie Posted August 22, 2013 Share Are those the novatec rims? How are they? They are very nice. I have done a couple of rides on them and I am very impressed. They are light, responsive and rolls very well.

Tankman Posted August 23, 2013 Share Magic ratio? Didn't think there were slot dropouts on these... Yup, Magic Gear.Took me a while to find it! Weird thing was the chain also made a difference.Singlespeed, 8spd or 10 speed did not fit as snugly as a 9 speed! Weird Isn't that a KMC? Ja might be, looks similar to the KMC chain seen on the Bianchi's at the Tour

Beattbox Posted August 23, 2013 Share BMC SLX01 converted to SS. I am riding a 42x16. This pick of the bikes in front of the car in the garage reminds me of a mate of mine who also used to keep his bikes in front of his car in the garage. One morning after starting his car his foot slipped off the clutch and, his car being in gear, lurched forward and flattened his 2 bikes against the wall. He was not happy to say the least... I also found that tension differs with different makes of chain. Both my chainring and sprocket are custom made from 3mm stainless steel.
