my hydrophonic veggies got chucked out his week. They died.

My lack of green fingers have been firmly entrenched. A 13 year old can get it right for a school project

did you move them outside after having them in a hydrophonic environment? - I hear that sometimes gives problems because the plants are not used to the outside environment.

the ants absolutely destroyed my coriander - got rid of the ants - now lets hope they can recover. Good news is that my tomato's seem to be recovering too....ants are fierce little critters

it was outside to start with - my boss' daughter has her's outside in full sun etc

You can also try chopping up and boiling some chillis in a bit of liquid. Let the liquid cool, add a tiny bit of dishwash liquid and spray the plants and around their stem.

Ja this works but has to be redone often. Chickens are always there

Why not try again? sometimes they do die if the nutrient solution is mixed just a little too strong

I'm too chuffed, I bought seeds on Aliexpress from china for nine different types of strawberries. Was sceptical but thought I'd take a chance. NOTHING germinated after two weeks and I was ready to toss them out, but suddenly now they are coming up!

I wasn't using the stuff on the starter kit, but something from the nursery which said it was suitable but considering I've killed a number of cacti in my time, I'm just gonna add it to my list of things I can't do. :(

My OH gets to gloat

So the wife got a veggie and herb garden somewhere in the back . Tomatoes , potatoes , all kinda weird and wonderful pumpkins , strawberries and then obviously every kinda of herb you can thing of except the proper stuff that you can smoke . Anyway she battled with getting this thing going (something to do with KUK soil etc) So she got this tip , ask your smoking , drinking, bum of a husband to throw all his smoke butts into a 2L coke bottle half filled with water . Then after a while wet the soil with this poison and after the next big rain start planting . Needless to say the bloody stuff is growing all over the place now and I am forced to eat all this green stuff from the garden .

I would love to have been able to grow some berries of any description, yet too many vervets around these parts to attempt that.
