Recommended Posts

would be ironic (and poetic justice) if the post got 91,000 views, people at the office show little sympathy for my plight.

happy birthday old man!!

Which cycling industry sharks are you taking down next?!

If you look at the ASG auction specials and some of the other shops specials, you can pick up original bikes with amazing specs for about 70% of the RRP. So I don't see how this is too far off.

Does not matter which way you look at it, cost to shop R45k (max maybe) price paid R91K. Not a happy cycling public.

R45k is frame and fork - and maybe seat post - he didn't pay R91k just for the frame - that was the full bike

We could reach 150 pages if the Cycle Science cycle science owners logged on and tried to defend themselves again, today?

They have, see below......

so if what i have heard is correct you bought a bike with

- full super record group - R35k

- bora wheels - R35k

- carbon bars stem seat post and all the fancy extras - min R10k

- R91k spend

surely you know the real one costs over R45k just for the frame

think this story is being pulled from one side just a tad to far

cycling industry is very very small

There's been no mention of Bora wheels (has fake DT Swiss on there).

This is from the "lawyers letter" from CS

R 37 500-00 for the bicycle (consisting of a frame (at your insistence sprayed a particular shade of black), head set, handle bars, wheels and saddle column)

The balance of the amount paid by you was for the purchase of a Campagnolo Record (Electronic) group set (consisting of the pedal’s, crank’s, bottom bracket, bearings, front and rear derailers, chain, gear cluster, cables, chain blades and brake mechanisms), a Sella Italia saddle, tyres and tubes for the bicycle and certain related miscellaneous items.

That reads like a veiled threat to me.

As stated numerous times since your incorrect post, read, read and read some more.

Aunty Devi asked for advice on where to buy a new bike? "I know just the place..."

Your missus is way too forgiving, one fake bike, one genuine article and now a skelmpie.

Let us deal with some facts:

His bike was fitted with Record, not " full Super Record" - fail 1;

His bike had fake "DT Swiss" wheels, not (fake) "bora wheels" - fail 2;

His bike did not even have water bottle cages, far less " all the fancy extras" - fail 3.

You are entitled to your own opinion, not your own set of facts.

If you are planning to defend the morality of the crooks, at least work with the facts.
