Thats what they tell you, but its actually the vagrant that stole it while you were wiping the turd out of your eyes.

Don't joke. I got an unhealthy dose of that one winter morning.

Rider in front put up a spay of it, like a slalom skier.

So gross, I willingly climbed into the Spruit to try wash off.

Later, stood in front of a fire hydrant to shower off, cold be damned!

That stuff sticks like **** to a blanket.

The smell was awful, but dammit the taste......

Scarred for life - Hate the Spruit!!

It's a suburban green belt, not a dedicated biking trail. Something quite unique to Jhb and awesome in it's own right.

All kinds use it, including people who will never ever ride their bikes elsewhere, or only ever ride on the odd occasion for say maybe 15km of any of the Spruit.

When many of the preening strava manne and rats, lycra'd, baggied and all wheelsizes can comprehend this, they might actually realise what it means to cycle. So please, don't get too precious over 'your' lines.

I worry that you - of all people - think that there are a) uphills, b) down hills c) corners and d) technical sections on the spruit - it is in reality, perfectly suited to riding on a road bike....   Now please go and delete all the bits that make it a road ride and not an mtb ride..... ESPECIALLY the filled in water drainage sloot at Fratelli's....

haha, I would love to see anyone in SA ride everything on the spruit on a road bike, jumps included

Now we refer to the reasonable person (Walkers, joggers, riders, runners, kids, etc). A reasonable person can SEE the path. A reasonable person KNOWS it's a path. A reasonable person ASSUMES we follow the path. So I think Peach has a valid argument.

People (No matter what you are doing) are just lazy and inconsiderate that take the straight line
