Dont make jokes like that, I got my posts deleted :(

It is like detention without a hearing. Next moment you have disapeared without a trace. No appeal possible. I hate that.

A few months ago Swen had a bad fall and broke his back and went for surgery and was flat on his back for weeks, not long after that when he was back on his bike, he broke his knee and was back in hospital for surgery again, this was about a month ago and i believe he is now overseas recovering and doing some soft riding.

A few thoughts come to mind while reading this thread.

In light of the number of stays in hospital for bicycle related injuries he may not be the best man to seek advice from. The wife did go to him for skills training.

How does someone willing to part with 6 months worth of cash come by the cash in the first place? Surely you pay 1 month at a time and if unhappy you bail at the 1st fence.

He is a SERIOUSLY talented and technically proficient rider. The back breaker happened during a routine ride in Majik Forest (iirc) on a feature which he normally hits VERY fast, and someone had changed it the day before he rode.  This meant he went into it blind, expecting the old feature to be in place. He got ejected, and landed badly. It happens.

I don't know how the leg happened, but let me ask you this - if you were getting into FMX (freestyle motocross) who would you rather get advice from - someone with no previous history of broken bones, or Travis Pastrana?

BTW - I have met him a couple of times, but wouldn't profess to know him well. More along the lines of riding with someone who knows him, and then having a coffee after the ride...

A friend of mine went to him for lessons, a lady of a certain age, who was fit but a beginner mtber, and I'm afraid to say, she is now a flippen maniac on the downhills... Because of this embarrassment on my part, he is clearly a jerk of the highest order.

UPDATE 2

Swen Lauer has asked for bank details. I feel progress is being made, so standing by for POP and then I'll remove this post.

Update 3

Still no refund, but I did get this very charming email last night...

"I don't pay you if you don't take your funking post of the hub"

Following this email, I guess progress has not been made after all. So do I trust Swen Lauer and remove the post first?

No, I think I'll wait for my refund....
