Then I saw Patch waiting for Fat Boab and I jumped in there (for obvious reasons too ...  :P). After a few kms there with them (where I knew it was Patch's aim to get us back to Sheriff and them on the M1) I almost forgot that FB was behind me and just told Patch to go (I think that was when Patch told/asked me to make sure FB was still there)...

Yeah I too was.....busy!  ;)

I will be keen to try and keep this going and maybe some of us can meet up once a month for a "I team" training ride :)

As a suggestion, most of us ride the Cradle semi regularly at least.

We could maybe say something like first Saturday morning of the month is I Team training, or, even if it's more 'on the fly' somebody could say, "hey, tomorrow I am going to train, anybody who wants to join is welcome"

Now that would add another fun-dimension to my riding! V keen....

No, but maybe there should be a sub 3 bus starting at the front, a sub 3:15 bus starting a bit further back and a sub 3:30 bus even further back.

All groups go out under the control of a strong cyclist who has worked out the pacing.

If someone drops off, hop onto the next bus.

There was a sub-3 bus and we were all together until Witkoppen when it splintered. All 7/8 riders got sub-3s though.

make sure the person behind you is still there AND to keep communicating that to the pacemaker is critical

Exactly this!

I kept telling the guys behind me to shout when members of the bus were hurting of falling off. When you are on the front, its impossible to know whether a rider in 8th has fallen off.

Training together will make racing together a lot easier,

I have to disagree.

Training with v12man does not make it any easier racing together :cursing:

If anyone is in doubt what the v12 stands for, try chasing him up a hill when all you have to offer is a  50cc single.

Next to Lurch on the right (red shirt thing) Shaper then Dom in red Tinderbox shirts

I am next to Lurch on the left - F.A.C.T shirt.

Great experience overall and a PB for me as well at 3:07. Rode with various I-teamsters, starting with Werner&co and finishing with Dom. @Werner - respect with the single speed.

The climbs was the Achilles heel for staying together IMHO. I need to change a couple of things during preparation though - will focus more on threshold / sustainable power.

Great initiative and I hope to contribute more in 2016.
