Bwahhaha!!!

You are confusing me with the "enduros"

They only wake up at lunch time, have two bacon and egg rolls, two beers and a barone

and then finally get round to some shuttling at about three pm....

Ive seen them...with my own eyes :w00t:

Well it was and now hopefully it will be again, got up to 105kg this festive season. (and did not even attempt to continue to compete in the biggest loser haha)

Tue, Wed, Thurs Up at 04:10 meet buddy at 04:30 ride for 1.5 to 2 hrs.

Weekends start at about 05:30 in summer and 06:30 in winter.

As a rule in the WC I never start in the rain, but if it looks iffy but dry I will go out, once on the road getting wet is not so bad. But it can get chilly.

It has got to happen or I am toast.

Depends on the training programme but me and my wife are both committed to training so we are up normally at 3h15 in the week day mornings out of the house by 03h45.

I start early with work so I need to hammer it and get back to finish up and leave for work. So in bed by 9pm most nights, try to get 6 hours of sleep(bit difficult now with our puppy)

Moer, that's vroeg, Sharkie

some people said their alarms goes off at around 3 or so.

What about your non riding spouse?? - or are all single?

I have a wrist watch that vibrates when the alarm goes off. - so no noise

With a better night's rest, you will feel more motivated.

A few tips:

1. Have a buddy wait for you at the meeting point.

2. Put your alarm in the kitchen so you have to get up.

3. Get off your feet earlier and into rest state in the evenings.

4. Avoid those negative monkey chatting in your head and get into your kit. Once you're in the saddle, you'll be fine.

Excellent advice.

My trick was to never negotiating with myself. Go into auto-pilot: get up, get dressed, have coffee and head out. If you start thinking whether you should go out and ride, it's all over.

And if it's Patch his Mom still wakes him at lunch time with the rolls, beer and chocolate in bed   :whistling:

Not fair.  I am at the office at 06h00 to 06h10.  Sometimes, rarely get up at 03h45 to do IDT from 04h00 to 05h00.  Shower, of to work!  Weekdays in the summer , I might be able to get an hour in, after work.  Saturdays up at 05h00, do around 4 hours! Sundays on the bike at 11h00, after church, for 90 minutes, way too hot lately!
