A few guys (from C/D/E) crashed right in front of me. On the highway, traveling at roughly 45km/h, about 10 guys were taken out in the bunch....anyone here know more of what happend, and if they are okay?

Saw a guy on a de Rosa being out in ambulance. Not sure of condition. No other bikes around so assume they carried on.

Started in VC . Pace was furious , lost the bunch before the race track. Had a few guys for the rest of the route , managed a 2h42 , was a tough day out.

Well done to all

Well done. I was also in VC

Hard core racing must say

Sorry for the quick (abrupt) hello. Mad rush to get the SPCA photo taken and then off for our second lap.

No probs man. Checked your club guys so said it would be good to say howzit seeing I didn't get the chance at your race.

My aim was to get my first ever sub-3 and started in the E bunch. I was hoping for 2:58 or something like that so getting 2:45 means that I am over the moon.

How was that shallow pot hole at the bottom of the big hill on Jan Smuts?

The one by the zoo. It was a close call.

was a tough race for sure. Lots of climbing, and very fast downhill didn't seem to leave much time for recovery . Started from e more than half way back and the first climb with cold legs burnt proper. Kyalami was awesome apart from one idiot nearly who nearly did a " patch spectator sport move " think he k@ked himself .

A fast group from f came past me going up woodmead and hung on to them untill just before the ridiculous u turn on the motorway . Then realized I was going to burn to many matches. And there was a lil kid in there ( maybe 15/16yrs old????)

Slowly made my way through the our group ...the steyn city climb was horrid and the worst climb for me. Got in side my target ,But had to dig deep at the end.

For such a massive event . So well run. I applaud those that organize a race of this scale and get it so right.

Gerald must of been giving them lessons ????????????????

Will have to try again for that sub3.

3:04 from F. Pooks wasn't good and I fell way behind there then had to play catch up.

From a 6:10 in 2014 to a 3:04. Super happy with the result.

Amazing improvement well done
