Frame is still with mercer, as soon as I have it in my grubby paws I'll take more pics.

I have a CK headset in my (steel) MCR and can honestly say that when I ride it it does not do the job any better than a cheapie would have done.

 

BUT

 

When I stare at the bike in lustful admiration.......mmmmmmm

Is it worth having a new hanger made up?

The hangar is part of the frame, will have to saw it off and weld a new piece of metal on. I think it is hammer time... Will take it to an LBS over the week-end (the owner rides a 456650b) to get an opinion.

What about heating it up? (I dont know anything about this though, just asking) and then bending it back. 

Or maybe use a bench vice to straighten it.

Take it to BMC if you can.

 

I had the miss fortune of beating up a roadie frame and fork where the front wheel was just just short of the down tube .... when they were done with the frame and fork it was like new!
