Hello, it's me. Messy times at the moment, no, actually not just at the moment. This has been an ongoing thing since February last year when my name got sold and contracts were unluckily signed above my head. I don't wanna hang out anybody or throw **** on anybody, that's not who I am. I'm the last one in this war to excuse myself or apologize, but however I wanna apologize in advance to you who actually are innocent, but will get in trouble because of politics, people who are weak and people who are too proud to swallow their pride. Please, I beg you all out there to not throw **** at POC, UCI or anyone else who actually TRIED to solve the problem and who TRIED to help myself, my team and my Swedish riding colleagues out of this. It's not about which products are the esthetically nicest, it's not about my team making money out of this, it's not about the Swedish cycling federation in general and it's not about me. This is about so much more. Either way we are all gonna will lose in the end of this story, but it's fair to say I'm the one who lost the most the last one and a half year. I feel sad, I feel used and if it wouldn't be for the people around me, who's fighting day and night for my rights, I would have been deeply worried about my future. Either you take your part, you stay natural and watch it from the outside or you don't give a **** about this whole mess. But what's the most important for me to know is that all the people who brought me all the way here will bring me even further and I know that they will always keep my back, no matter what. I'm sure the each of you who had the time to read all the way down here also know who's having my back and who's not having my back in this conflict.

Peace.

Wait, so who should be blammed?

There is a wrong done by somebody. Ugh, almost as bad as a doping press release.

Does this Alexander Engen Anders Bromee chump not realise that without riders wearing the kit (POC in this case) there will be no deal from which he can profit on the table the first place..?

Clarification about the Landscape Agreement2017-08-12 | 10:50

Last night, the media reported that Jenny Rissveds will not be in the World Cup, which runs 5-10 September in Cairns, Australia. The reason for this is that the agreement that SCF writes with the cyclists for landslide assignments contains a requirement to use the equipment offered through the union's sponsors, ie. Clothing, protection, helmet, glasses and energy drinks. Personal equipment allowed is your own bike with its accessories and custom shoes.

I think it's great secret, I prefer nothing but our best riders to participate in the national team's activities. But when their big and resourceful pro team tries to exceed their rights it becomes tough.

Unfortunately, the crowds get caught when the resourceful teams want to exploit rights they do not own. It is obvious to us that, as a skier, we represent the union's sponsors when competing for the national team. In a national team assignment, the federation is responsible for all costs such as travel, accommodation, staff in place (masseurs, mechanics, leaders) and the same rules apply to all, regardless of discipline, or if you are a junior or professional cyclist at the highest level.

As a sports federation we represent over 48,000 members and much of what SCF receives through sponsors goes to developing young people and juniors in Swedish cycling. It is therefore of the utmost importance that we respect our sponsorship agreements so that we can continue to work with, for example, Youth camps as well as organize landslags and development camps.

Oh... she is going to miss World Champs... I thought she is Miss World Champs (form a glance at the thread title).

Oh well. If there was a Miss World Champs, she'd probably win that as well as World Champs.

This is quiet weird. And as weird as it is, I hope it's not a smoke screen for something more sinister behind it and nothing to do with our old friend Vitamin S. Just hoping, so don't shoot me

People are in positions in cycling federations worldwide who do not act on behalf of riders.

Consult with your riders before you agree sponsorship deals, not massive science in this

It would be a close call for Miss World Champs between Jenny and Emily Batty...just saying. But then, not discarding Miss Frizz from the equation either...tough call.

To be fair it's not like English is her first language and even with google translate I'm sure her English is a damn site better than our Swedish, Turkish.

I think she's appealing for calm, as obviously there's some low grade vitriol being directed at POC, UCI and Swedish Cycling. The kind of petulant stuff that actually does nothing to sort the problem out but rather make it worse.

Reading between the lines, especially after read the statement from Anders Bromee, the problem appears to lie squarely with Anders Bromee.

Purely speculative, but my gut says that there is likely a conflict of personalities playing a big part here as well, and it seems the bureaucrat card is being played out.

'I am the authority here and it's MY way as per federation' kind of thing. A real anorak approach.
