Lessons learned today.

Spring has sprung is a myth.

The weather channels lie more than a Member of Parliment.

I wasnt prepared for the cold this morning. Left home with arm warmers and a newspaper stuffed down the front of my cycling jersey. ( I am a big believer of the newspaper trick. It keeps you warm, you can use it to start a fire, you can use it to roll a joint or to wipe your bum with.)

Anyway, is was brutal Not brutal like Gummi has in Europe but still brutal.

Please rollover Slowbee's entry for one more year. The oke is geskrik about the Munga and has a real genuine excuse for not doing 2017. We will give him hell next year about it, and will hunt him down if he doesn't get ass into gear.

As you all know Alex has already extended the courtesy of rolling my entry over due to injury from last year to this year. I will not ask him to do it again.  I am choosing to withdraw.  I am in full health (not sure mentally though) and the decision to not ride is within my full control. It is just I am putting other priorities first. I will not ask for a role over again based on this.

 

If my work environment improves, then I will enter again for next year. Whilst I love cycling and I really want to do the Munga (and every other ride out there), family comes first. And right now that means I need to focus on work so I can keep my job. Ja ja I know whinge whinge whine whine, and more wine.

 

Lets just say I am terribly jealous of Vettie! That oke is setting the bar. And he better finish. Even if I have to get in my car and chase him to the finish!

 

Fabes, my entry will go up for sale shortly. Just have one or two large frogs I need to eat this morning, and then it will go up.
