I Agree.. Kate is in for a rude awakening. Ariane Also looking strong. Her and Langvad would have made a killer team but they are both teamed up by (in my opinion) weaker partners. So will be interesting watching. Often these combos just don't work and the stronger rider blows up the weaker..

Agree. She was super impressive. I was track side in the rock garden, she was nailing that section, I’d say only Annika was going quicker through there.

She gradually worked her way up the field, but that acceleration in the last 100m was spectacular.

 

She is still in C Town, according to her 'gram, at the Tsogo Sun now.

 

Great to have her on Team Cannondale.

If Kate can suck wheel at high intensity for 7 days they should win. I don't see Ariane getting podium. She has her head to compete against as well. Think Robyn and Sabine will take it

I've re-watched both races now several times from RBTV, and besides the fantastic racing,  the most astounding thing is Rob Walnut does not mention wheel size AT ALL. Dropper posts, yes, but no mention of 29er, 27.5 or even 26".  Not once! a new era in his commentating, Although I would think he could have given Rhodesia a mention being in these parts.

 

Awesome video production btw, was it a local production house that did the business?
