Where and when is registration. Entered ages ago and have received no correspondence

Important Information:

Race Registration will be between the hours of :

5pm and 9pm on Friday the 27th of April

5:45am and 6:45 am on Race day the 28th of April for the Gran Fondo

7:15 to 8:30  on Race day the 28th of April for the Medio Fondo

No support vehicles will be allowed on the course, the race organisation will have road marshalls, mobile marshalls in vehicles and motorbikes, as well as a lead-out motorbike. The provincial traffic department will also be in attendance. Road closure will only be rolling for the first few kilometres until the field thins out. Marshalls will stop traffic at all intersections. Please obey the marshalls at all times, we will try to ensure that you do not have to stop at intersections, this however cannot be guaranteed.

If spectators wish to preside along the course they need to do so before the race commences. Marshalls will stop vehicles that are deemed to be following or interfering with the race.

Standard rules apply to all Cycling South Africa sanctioned races. No helmet no ride etc.

If anyone going from Cape Town wants a lift or has space for a Hobbit and his bike, please let me know?

It seems ridiculous to drive out there on Friday by myself and then back again by myself... that is nearly 1000km of bad music and alone time not even touching on the carbon footprint!

HI , I went over swartberg pass on my mtb on Monday from Kobus se gat to Prins Albert, The wind was gusting at the top and the flattish part of the decent ( where you turn to Die Hell )  after top to the hairpins are rutted otherwise looking good . . . disclaimer -  in my opinion . . .  :whistling:

Have fun and be blessed !

As long there's traction on the climbs... that slippery, grainy fodder is the issue...

All the best to the riders doing the races in my favourite, favourite, favourite town, Prince Albert this weekend.  Please have a Glenhoff beer at the hotel, or even two.

Enjoy the race, I am seriously jealous that I cannot be there this year.  As punishment for not attending, I'll be doing the Panorama Tour, suffering on the Queen stage over Boulders.

Have fun on Meiringspoort and Swartberg, both are super special.
