On a high end road bike, I can maybe agree with you.  But other bikes & MTB I see no issue with the odd cable tie here and there.

Prately , Hellerman tyton and china all make cable ties but they are 3 very different products

i think the computer mounts use the same thing, so maybe if someone has a busted light/computer and one of these lying around?
