Wonder what Patchelicious have to say about this top 40 finish [emoji3455]

31 out of 42 finishers 2:21 behind the winner who is a sprinter and almost 2min behind the bunch sprint for 4th, added he was apparently working for Lawless who finished in the bunch sprint for 4th. Edited by Gen

Not that I am defending him or anything but Ackerman also abandoned with his eyes firmly set on Euro champs.

But Ackerman managed to podium at said champs !!

Stop being an armchair critic, there is no need to use him as a human punching bag, this abuse of a sprinter is boring. Rather focus on the other non-peformers!

Indeed he did.[emoji3059]. you know both Ackerman and Selig of Bora abandoned tour of Poland and you know what, both finished top 10..Actually Bora had 3 in the top 10 with Bennett coming in at 6th.

It was mentioned in the media beforehand that Cav was going to work for Chris Lawless during the race. Those who have watched the race would have noticed his efforts in the front of the chase doing just that. His final result should be seen against this background.

Don’t come and present facts in the way of some Cav bashing.

So then the withdrawal from the the other races to focus on this one was all in vain.

It was the British National Team directors that selected Chris as the main man for the EU.

So both DD and British Cycling feel the same about his form and potential.

Lawless was in the Viviani group all on his own without a teammate after the crosswind split the group.

Viviani, Ackerman and Lampeart attacked from that group at about 25km to go...pretty sure it would've been handy having a teammate there when that happened seeing as that was the winning move.

Saying he then worked is bollocks...the Dutch, Norwegians and France did almost all of the work, while the Germans and Belgium's disrupted the chase.. Cav did come to the front at about 13km to go for not even 1km and the gap actually went out when he was on the front, that was his contribution and it was just over a cobbled section.

Did you even watch the race?

Any case it was actually a very good race.

The world's greatest sprinter says he will now be a domestique?

Sounds like a media story!

looks like just one guy got the scoop, and no one else heard about it

I have no problem with British cycling decision as It is clear that Chris Lawless is currently in better form than Cav.

Re Dimension Data it is a different story as their other riders are also not performing.

Cav took a lot of flak for pulling out of the Tour of Poland but nobody seems to have noticed that he was in fact the only rider in the team who managed a top 10 position during any stage of the race.

Anyway, the season is nearly over and he will be out of TDD soon so lets see how they go next year.

So you admit that he did make a contribution (work) in the front although it was short. That is what I saw as well  :)
