Point taken. I didn't know he broke the lid. If he was concussed, he should not be racing, end of story.

I saw the video of him picking up his bike and he appeared compis mentis. I know from personal experience that after suffereing a concussion I definitely would not have been that collected immediately or able to race on the way he did yesterday ( at my own super slow pace of course). Then again, concussion is a funny thing...

Ja I agree, if it is concussion it would be stupid to carry on. I guess he also feels he has a lot to prove in the Epic. Either way, if he isn't concussed then great, but I can only imagine how his body must feel after a quality crash like that. I will believe him when he says it hurts.

I guess my take was that he wasn't having a great day yesterday anyway and the crash is a convenient excuse for an even more lack lustre performance today. It seems the crash may well have been worse than I presumed, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

everyone in that group took the corner a bit short. To compare it to Kevin Evans picking his bike up, running through the field and pushing in front of other riders is very harsh in my opinion.

As far as I can remember he actually rode the short cut.

Ja def a woosie. The fall from yesterday apparently broke his helmet. But obviously it is no biggie, crashing in a way that your helmet breaks, and then getting up and winning tough stage against the best racers in the world should be standard.

He might as well go home. Lasted longer than I thought

Is there some footage of the crash? I seemed to have missed it.

Would also like to see it, just saw the Epic tweet that he broke his helmet.

No footage of the crash that i have seen, only after the fact when he is picking his bike up and getting back on.

okilee dokilee, we've got the N1NO avancini beef, but how is the rest of the Epic for armchair spectator value this year?

hats off to Sauser, only +6mins back today. Wonder how far off the GC he would be if he had been given free reign from the start.

He'd be exactly where he is now. Its not like he's soft pedaling or something.

I'm so sure about that, I heard he was riding in circles yesterday waiting for Simon.

The HUB got a shout out? Awesome!!

Actually it's good to see the young man showing some grit and not only talent. If he recovers it could make the racing up front quite tasty!
