Starvin' Marvin Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 1.91m XL Waited for 5weeks for my new bike to land here.
Dirkitech Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 186 and on an XL. Current brand of bike large cut off at 185cm. Had a L previously as per recommendation from bike shop.Seat post was extended past point of safety and had to get an XL after a few months of complaining....Im curious which brand that is?
NicoR Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 (edited) Im curious which brand that is? Spaz. After getting all parties involved, everyone VERY accommodating and sorted me out with a deal on something of the correct size and upgrade.I am still a happy customer and very happy with the XL. Reach was fine on the L, inseam was the issue. Long legs, short arms... Edited August 20, 2018 by NicoR Dirkitech 1
Wheelsuck Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 1.74 and on a 54cm or 56cm Road Bike depending on geometry. 17.5 MTB and a Medium Tri Bike..
TheEd Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 1,88 m tall, large mtb frame, 29er. For a comfortable fit on Silverback and Specialized. Have noticed a slight cramped feeling on other brands, but haven't paid much attention as they were not mine and I would only investigate further if I'm considering a change of wheels.
popcorn_skollie Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 130mm stem negative slammed. Sjoe. You might as well put pegs and grips on your front axle.
arendoog Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Unfortunately most riders and even shops don,t really understand geometry and the difference it makes .It is only when you have a few bikes that you can compare them with each other directly .All of us will adapt to what we ride and just accept that you cannot do this or that and blame your own abilities ,especially with technical mtb riding .Most folks don,t have a clue how the placement of the bottom bracket backwards{reach } improves all aspects of technical riding Dirkitech 1
Shebeen Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 bike frame size means very little to me, really just a starting point. have had a medium Schwinn Madison (just fit me)currently on an XL rocky mountain (canadians must be smaller than i remembered).
Dirkitech Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Spaz. Reach was fine on the L, inseam was the issue. Long legs, short arms... Ah, exactly why I asked because it rang the bell of sixth sense! My large specialized comes across as borderline too small as well, but with the setback seatpost its forced into working adequately.
Mamil Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 1.91 on XL but i have ro be careful because I've got disproportionately long legs. If the rest of me matched id be close to 2.0m so i end up with a very high saddle and a long way to reach to the bars. Dropper post essential!
