Perhaps the higher estimate is the result of a real out-and-out effort, HdB? Maybe you're holding back on your Zwift test  :P

Entirely likely ;) I was able to give a little bit extra for the last km yesterday, which I should probably not be able to do if I was going flat-out. Not sure I could have sustained that effort for the whole distance, but that could also just be a mental thing.

The next two events are this coming Sunday and the one after that, so perhaps I can judge my effort a bit better for them.

David, I'll send you my Strava ID, but don't worry too much about it. In fact, I think I can try to use this to my advantage, and aim for the higher number this Sunday

Its on a new strip chart at the bottom of the /fitness chart. You might need to shift-reload the app or close and re-open your browser tab. You might also need to choose "Options" on that page and tick "Show FTP" and "Show Estimated FTP" but those should be on by default.

Its going to appear in various other places very soon (e.g. on each activity) and I am also not sold  on the magenta colour. Clashes with cadence on the activity timeline chart.

I have been riding my bike twice a week, for the last 2 months, without the power meter attached. The rides have also been coffee rides (pace), so I don’t expect to see very big numbers when I start training again. Quite liking the “just ride” efforts, but I’m sure being dropped by my tjommies will motivate me.

Any plans on making the site mobile friendly?

Not talking app just make it display better on mobile devices (or am I doing something wrong)

+1. I want to make it work nicely on tablets at least. Need to support touch events and whatnot for that.

More work would be making it fit on a phone. It actually runs on my iPhone 8+ but the calendar view and other things need "small screen" work.

Hi David,

This has probably already been discussed before.

I have a few activities where HR monitor failed or recorded without it. These activities do not count anything towards the fitness/fatigue/form graphs. Is there any way these activities can be edited to add a more or less average heart rate to give a more realistic fitness/fatigue/form graph? For example last weekend I did a 113km ride with 1800m elevation gain in just over 4hours where I completely chopped off! But without HR monitor, so basically it looks like I had a rest day on the graph. If I could just somehow estimate a low average of 130 bpm (Was probably closer to 160-170bpm) that would at least show the graph in a more realistic way

You can edit the load on the activity, this should do the trick.

Thanks! It seems to work. But now I notice something else. With some of my activities where I have HR monitor but no powermeter, it shows no load, and those activities also don't add to the fitness/fatigue graph. Do I need a powermeter? I know on the Elevate app only needs HR for the fitness/fatigue graph.

Hi David,

Is there a way that you can change/adjust the estimated FTP?

There is no way that my FTP can be 298W.

I was off the bike for some time and lost quite some fitness.

Currently you need at least 8 previous activities with power and HR and then Intervals.icu will use that data to estimate training load for activities with only HR. It basically figures out "training load / hour" for a given average HR.

I could implement a default model to use in the absence of any power data that used only HR. Will look into that. Would probably need to know your max and resting HR.
