Officially the 99er is always an official seeding event for the following year's CTCT (ie 2021 99er seeding for 2022 CTCT) (stupid I know)

but unofficially it always counted for the same year's CTCT if the seeding run was done after the event, seems this year this might not be the case.

They advertised this year's 99er as a seeding event for CTCT 2022 🤷‍♀️

Just spoke to the Racetec officials at the 99er registration. Even they are confused on whether tomorrow is a seeding race for 2022 or 2023...

I'm calling todays race The 99 Fast and Furious guys.  Lucky to get $ dollar number for today. Saw at least 5 punctures, but thank goodness no crashes. Beautiful weather for a race.

Started in ‘C for Cannondale’. A few kamikaze pilots from D managed to get onto the wheels. Punched my way up Adderley kicker with a few other bras and created a gap so I can safely blitz through the D’Urbanvale circle fest.

Another stunning day for rolling.

Today was lekker. Pretty much perfect conditions. Eagerly awaiting official results now but that should boost my seedings for the Argus.

I was similar on my steel gravel bike.

At the start the guy next to me looks over and goes "yoh, dik wiele".

Well, the dik wiele managed to hang onto the group for 97km, before finally getting a little distanced on the last climb 😎

That was fun, perfect weather conditions, friendly faces all round, my knobbies whêr-whêring on the tarmac - awesome ride.

Only issue was the lack of parking, I looked at the venue map and thought to myself - that's a bit tight. Sure enough when I arrived at 6am people were already turning around at the entrance. Found some parking next to the reservoir in Suikerbos way.

This was my 9th 99er and I think it's called 99er because if given 99 years it would have a different route each time. Only things that stay the same is the start and that finish up the hill.
