Let's be honest here, widely understood or not, why the hell is a young rider with that pedigree going to Q36.5?

Q36.5 are paying him what he wants to achieve what he wants, without the tight confines of a hierarchical team structure/

in exchange they get a lot more exposure

His salary isn’t fully paid by 36.5. Ineos is paying out a large chunk of his salary as an exit clause to 36.5 and the remainder is paid by the team.
He takes his entourage with him including his brother as a package deal.
just cause you have TP doesn’t mean automatic entry to a GT, they not even 3rd on PC ranking so automatic entries are not guaranteed off that alone and then for example he is not French so TDF wildcard is not really a reality for starters.

I’m guessing that Ineos paying him to go is just them honouring the remainder of his contract and that makes it worthwhile for Q36.5 for 2025 but they have to foot the full bill at some point?

So many Italian Riders on the team plus the Nibali connection I would hope at the very least they get into the Giro?

26th on World rankings
8th on Pro Team rankings

Chances of any GT invite is almost/close to impossible regardless of having Italians in the team and my understanding Nibali is no longer connected.

ouch, will their rankings get boosted if they sign more riders with decent points?

Simon Andreassen and Mona Mitterwallner are both also exiting cannondale factory racing

simon is rumoured to be heading to Orbea KMC and Mona to BmC.
Kate is creating her own team supplied by Allied Bikes ( it is alleged…)

Jolanda Neff leaving Trek ( known) heading to Cannondale (strong rumour confirmed by 2 Independent sources).

Jenny Rissveds also looks to be discontinuing her team meaning Ibis bikes exits the UCI XCO elite category for 2025

So that Neff rumour isn’t a rumour anymore. She and Cole Punchard (Canadian) will join CFR for 2025 and beyond.
Jenny to a Canyon team not BMC, slotting into Loana’s spot essentially. She won’t go back to Scott.
