Sjoe.... 2 explosive days to start the race.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this more than the usual ITT prologue and flat stage roll out.

Cav might need to win Tomorrow or Tuesday as his current form shows he might struggle to make the time cuts on stages 5 and 6........

First 2 stages have been ridiculous...

...if I were a rider but brilliant for viewing. GC favourites already throwing elbows at each other.

Hard luck on Mas and Carapaz!

Haven't even hit the big mountains and the gap between Yates and Last is already 41Mins plus.

Maybe a bit too much climbing today for Cav to sprint efficiently at the end.. tomorrow will probably suit him better and he might not even attempt a full-out sprint today. I hope he can take it tomorrow!

The last 100meters of today is a 4% incline, so would actually suit Wout the best if he decides to sprint today, otherwise this is Philipsen's to loose.

I see the highlights have taken a page from Netflix and added some drama and music to the recap. I liked how Wout threw his bottle onto the tar to add some drama to the finish zone. Warming Tiz up to watch todays stage...

These 2 days have been brutal though. Honestly feel like the longer climbs might be better for the sprinters because most of the time the GC riders will pace it better until the final one where they go crazy. These shorter and sharper climbs are just brutal. Accelerations from everywhere all the time.

That final 3km was difficult to watch!

Fast, twisty, aggressive and nervy

I don't know any basque, but it's so close to the border that I'd be surprised if it didn't come from France. Hopefully they catch the idiot soon, or he realises it's not that fun spoiling other peoples fun/livelyhood
