Visma HAVE TO push, they cannot sit on their hands. They gapped Pogacar on Mont Ventoux the last time they were there... you never know if his body reacts unexpectedly after a Rest Day.

BUT, I expect it to be ineffective unfortunately.

Arensman is probably the best chance of a stage win After Pogacar as the cards sit currently.

Ya I agree. Pogi just doesn't look close to cracking. That incident the last time they were on Ventoux was one of the most exciting moments of that tour. Pogacar was so imperious and then this scrawny relatively unknown (to me at least) danish guy starts to open up a gap... it was a wtf moment.

This is ageing quite well...

So. Bloody. Close.

He deserved the win, but unfortunately in life we don't always get what we deserve.

Let's see what tomorrow brings...

Yesterday there must of been close to 700K spectators on the mountain. It’s was pretty incredible. Haven’t seen this type of people per sqm since alp du Huez

I know they class today as Flat, but I don't see this playing out as a classic sprinters stage.

Many teams have nothing to show in terms of jerseys or wins.

They know they won't beat Tadej on the climbs. And they won't beat Merlier/Milan in the Sprints.

So the fight for the Break will be big IMHO. Winner might be anyone on this type of terrain.

700 000 fans?! Wow. We were near Chalet Reynard it definitely felt like thousands, didn't think it would be that many but it's an absolutely massive, f*king mountain. Definitely one of the most memorable days I've had in a long, long time. Some people reported it took nearly as long to ride down the mountain as up.

Potentially explosive day awaits.

Who will lose chunks of time, let's see:
(perfect day to cash in that Work-From-Home allowance)

3HC mountains, this is the biggest stage in terms of uphill numbers.

might always find a break comprised of teams with zero GC affect goes far up the road and the UAE/JV guys call a truce until the final finish.

Pogi has been dropped twice on Col de la Loze. As much as I love huffing Jonas hopium, Pogi is looking for redemption. He drops everyone, reaches for his radio and declares, "He's dead, I'm gone!" as he rides off into the sunset, gaining 3 minutes
