Amazing !
Where is that ?

Upper Bloemendal on the way to the mast. Ive read somewhere that there was a large older male living around 360. I think he was found dead by the trail builders last year (old age) This must be his successor(s). Still, super rare to see them in the open.

The Mountain is just perfect at the moment.

On a day like today not even the die-hard Southern Suburbs Capies (me included) can complain about anything!

(Yes, I know I used upper case, but I argue that it is correct! Since I have nothing to moan about today, I thought I'll be argumentative.)

Unfortunately, my bike hasn't taken me anywhere recently. I have had lens replacement surgery on both my eyes. The ophthalmologist was a bit cautious on my left eye since I previously had surgery on that eye many years ago.

Luckily, I have been given the go-ahead to commence cycling again but it's back to baby steps since i have not been in the saddle for 8 weeks now. I have to get my cycling legs back before joining the cycling club group rides again. And the cold mornings aren't helping with that at all. But soon I will be out there again.

I managed to go out cycling on Sunday and did a 53.5km route. I took it slow, only 23.1km/h average speed. Took some pics to share.

It's like you took the picture in front of a Pierneef painting 👍

Technically yesterday, but we headed up Mont Ventoux to watch the Tour de France. What an experience! Tens of thousands of people lining the route with helicopters buzzing over our heads, a high speed float parade (the caravan) chucking sausages, key rings and hats into the crowds and then 20-30 minutes of riders trickling passed. What an incredible day.
