Col de la Madeleine via Lacets de Montvernier and Col du Chaussy. One of our most epic rides so far.

Hi Mike, do you live in the area or are you on the most epic bicycle holiday ever?

Love the pictures!

I am sad that your trip is over,
Your photos have been amazing !

Looking forward to the next one

Am sad too! France has been quite incredible both in prices but more importantly the riding. I will be posting pics from Thailand next month though!

Haha! We’re doing the least glamorous thing today. Cleaning up the Airbnb and packing bikes. Our bags total weight is now sitting at 92kgs!

Beautiful Chris, the fitness must be picking up nicely with all this winter commuting you're doing. Well done for braving the crisp winter breeze 😄👍 How are you enjoying that Revolt?

On a side note I see that the Baviaans record was broken this weekend, both riders onboard the new Revolts 🤙

I forwarded that article to Chris (Zebra) 😉

Thanks we were in Portugal two years ago. Sintra has some of my favourite mtb trails. Would love to go back some time.

As a youngster Herman toured Africa on a small motorcycle ... 13 month solo trip.

Bit of work, then a 13 months trip of Europe.

Since then they have been doing 2 to 3 month trips of many countries across different continents every year or two ...

Now settling down for the swallow approach with a base on the Southern coast of Portugal.

It would be most interesting seeing you having a meet and greet 👍

The bonus of having a teenager son. He scouts out a new way to get to the top of the nearby trails- a fire road climb to the top of the mountain, use the public roads on the mountain, then descend into the trails from the top.

The downside of having a teenager son. The effort involved is calibrated to teenager heart and lungs, not mine that are past sell by date. The climb (and push) nearly killed me. But it’s good to see new things from the top!
