I FLY Posted December 6, 2020 Share Yesterday it was the other around for our bikes. We packed them into boxes in Johannesburg because they are “emigrating” to our part time home in Somerset West. Should here later this weekLooking at Dale’s photos made us decide that riding road bikes in the Cape is much more enjoyable than in Johannesburg Edited December 6, 2020 by I FLY ChrisF and DJR

RocknRolla Posted December 7, 2020 Share Saturday, No riding. I did however decide to take the kids to see a movie. Sunday Morning, Stellar ride with some classic bikes, and some really cool people. Then late afternoon, took the youngest for a ride out in the cradle. Beating me up the hills.... He Kept on looking at this shadow on the left, and kept on "racing" it... was quite cool to see... even as adults, we are still amused with, and can not help but look at the shadow with us on the ride... Frosty Posted December 7, 2020 Share "Sometimes life seems a dark tunnel with no light at the end. But if you just keep moving forward you will end up in a better place"that looks just like a “tunnel/culvert” in KZN near the polo fields in Hillcrest. I’m trying to find my photo to see the difference. NotSoBigBen
gummibear Posted December 7, 2020 Share To the E.R. . Not sure if i should upload pics. Front tire washed out..i was probably going a bit fast, terminal off camber turn understeer....decided to bail off the side of the hill and hopefully spare the bike...which i might ad is brand new, and not mine. Then a battle commenced between my face, shoulder and leg....and the earth, and the earth won. Cut my lip open against god knows what, nose to mouth. Luckily not all the way through. Plastic surgeon stitched had to fix that. Posterior dislocation of right shoulder - never knew these ones hurt this much. They put you under to pop it back in. And then generally i look like i had a trip through mincer haha. All in all...was a blast, #no regrets, 100% will do it again. And i can get a new helmet nowHeal up quickly[emoji106] Pics or it didn’t happen [emoji6][emoji4] MORNE

And i can get a new helmet now Sorry to hear about this, I have been in a similar situation, with added concussion fractured wrist and sand roasties. The standing joke about the plastic surgeon is, he did a shitty job, because I look exactly as I did before the crash. MORNE
MORNE Posted December 7, 2020 Share Heal up quickly[emoji106] Pics or it didn’t happen [emoji6][emoji4]Face looks (edit: arguably? Lol) alot better today, but feels worse. Guess its the swelling. Still drinking my coffee through a straw and eating my food using a teaspoon hahaSeeing the orthopedic surgeon this afternoon re shoulder and axillary nerve. Hopefully not too bad.
