Constantia Greenbelts with Beattbox. My first (somewhat) proper ride on the mtb in a long time. Who would have thought Beattboxs' new S-bike would look so good next to my old Trance? It rocks! Black truly is back (apologies AC/DC)

And on this side of the globe SPRING has sprung .... Perfect weather for riding, and spectacular sights ....

Though a stiff Northern breeze did work my legs properly this morning ....

I leave home early enough to get to Traverse shortly after sunrise .... which makes for some awesome sights as the sun makes its appearance.

And the mixture of wheat and grapes makes for nice pics ...

And D'Aria is up to its own little magic in its tiny forest ...

Worth noting that D'Aria is a war zone .... littered with "mines" from Patrick's four-legged-milk-dispencers ... You may have more than just mud on your bike ...

The first part of my ride was VERY quiet !!  After 9:00 the traffic picked up on the trails.

A BIG thanks to the team of the Tygerberg club for providing us with these fantastic trails !!

Is that Maritz on the bridge in front in the last picture?

No.

Sunday morning is my time for a solo long ride.

The photo is of another father and son on the trails.

I thought that he is eventually on the new bike.

I thought that he is eventually on the new bike.

He rides the new bike on the trainer, and he is begging to ride it in the cul-de-sac ....

But he needs another 2cm inseam to be able to safely manhandle the bike  ....  The 26'' is actually lighter than the 24'', so it is just a matter of properly standing over that top tube ....
