The Ouzo Posted March 20, 2023 Share I planned to do a 70km ride yesterday, but woke up feeling rather drained and sorry for myself. After lunch I picked myself up and decided to give the bike some TLC, around 3 some clouds came over and cooled the weather slightly. That’s when I decided to get the kids out the pool and do a family ride. The eldest has been very reluctant to ride lately, but I got her on the bike. A km or 2 in I could see she was getting frustrated having to keep braking for her younger sister, so I told my wife to ride with the younger one and the eldest and I went ahead. Next thing I know she is giving it beans and putting some effort in. Whilst waiting for the others at one of the corners she actually told me it was fun going fast. for the first time in a long time it was a fun family ride. now to keep the motivation up.
