Yesterday at Banhoek with South Easter blowing hard - crisp and clear. You couldn't get a better setting. For someone who has never ridden there it was needless to say sublime, and its the only time I felt a pic i took of my rides warranted sharing here in this exalted company.

Monday Motivation:

You will get one body in this life. There are no returns, no refunds, no means to exchange. It’s the only house you have to live in. Move it daily; make it strong and supple, test its limits, and treasure it.

No other gloves work is serious cold that I could find.

Agreed. These are the best gloves I've used in serious cold.

Every time I see a pic of a Scout I miss mine. Are those the 650Bx50 Cinturato Ms? How have you found 'em?

I'm surprised you're not getting rubbing in the fork.

On this 29th day of June 2023 we equal the total annual rainfall of 2022 ....

Zwift certainly have been my light ... or is it umbrella ....

I find it’s the best use of my available time to train, given current circumstances, even the easier endurance rides. Guess we’re lucky to have such an option.

Would I prefer doing all my training outside? Rhetorical question 😊

Yesterday's workout passed by unnoticed, for me, until I checked my half-year progress a few hours ago. Turns out I ticked by the 100,000Km (recorded) marker during yesterday's workout. December 2008 was my first ride with a Garmin. It includes walking, running, some water activities and of course my baie sukkel. I've probably done close to 150,000Km, but pre-December 2008 isn't on Strava, so we all know what that means... 😊

Still behind where I thought I might be for 2023, but it's not all about chasing miles; at least not for me. I still have 2475Km to go to make it 100K worth of baie sukkel miles (only). That should be early to mid-September, maybe on national braai day. That should make for a good photo... 😉

Good luck for the rest of the year!
Over and out
