I'd imagine the lack of Jhb photos today is because of the heat.

Man! I am dying today although the actual temp reading is not that high.

Luckily got a chilled ride in yesterday taking the wife and her sister for their first ever Spruit ride, and coffee at Trailhead. Fun was had by all.

I didn't see one other cyclist on Klapperkop today!

]Went for a long ride from Jozi, stopped at a few garages and a Wimpy. Saw some Gauteng and some North West, and some mid 40 temperatures on the Garmin.

I actually think my bike took me to hell and back

See you at the July 2017 event Pulse? It is the same route, just lower temperatures ;)

If its open for all, I'll definately join you!

Do you advertise, of how would I get the details?

I'd better put this in my diary, my memory sucks

I'm not a CW member, but I do know quite a few of the guys out there.

Look out for it on http://www.crestawheelers.co.za and on http://www.audaxsa.co.za

Anybody can join, any type of bicycle is welcome.

It is run along Audax rules, so average speed should be between 15 and 30km/h between checkpoints (of which there were 2 - One at the Sasol Garage where the R512 ends in Harties, and the other at the Wimpy in Magaliesburg) and overall.

No podiums, and "winners" are not celebrated as it is a self supported ride and not a race.
