Saturday morning I rode a 70km loop known to Middelburg locals as "The Bruizer". The route takes you over a couple of farms, over this farm/dirtroad bridge across the N4 (about 20km's outside town) and back to town with a railway service road. Travel time was 3h48m with about 500m of elevation gain.

Yesterday I did a 30km 2h00m recovery/exploring ride. I'll rather not mention the location details but it makes some very nice pictures.

Went for a ride yesterday, but about 10km's in I called it quits. Was sub-zero temps the whole way and my hands were aching from the cold - couldn't even operate the brakes properly.

 

Got this pic in the garage though.

I know it well. The plan is to combine it with the Karwyderskraal road and the hemel en aarde trails to dova little weekend bikepacking trip to hermanus and back.

Nope, just an idea in my head. I drove the reverse of the route on my way back from a client the other day, and that planted the wanderlust seed.
