Above the arch is a Latin inscription, reading "Dedi in deserto aquas fulmina in invio " which means "I shall pour down rain on the thirsty land and showers on the dry ground" Which couldn't be more appropriate today. Mechanical disk calipers and then some of the fattest road biased tyres I could find (35mm)plastic or a-loomi-num frame?
