I should ride more, so I post here more (thank goodness running season is slowing down)

just an easy ride around the local 'hood this morning

Up until 1 January 2017, I went through a 2year slog, lacking motivation and no desire to do what I so loved doing. I turned that ship in my mind, and two months on, my mind is clearer, I feel motivated, and the enjoyment of riding my bike is back again! Thanks to Dennis Lamminga and the Sportsworld Group rides for playing such a big part in this! Cheers to many more kilometers!

not much riding this week, just my daily ride to the train station, due to nasty rains and even a storm last night, a lot of branches ripped off. 
But a lovely sunrise this morning

Haha. I've taken to commuting as much as possible so it helps when you ride twice a day...

When it's been raining this much you just go find some arbitrary hill to climb .... last time I went up there with a bike like that I had to 'klap 'n toon' as Rouxtjie would have said - this time it nearly ripped my legs off but I made it [emoji106]

The rain... it's what we've been speaking about a lot lately... because 

a)we're grateful 

b)need to plan rides around it

This week we had A LOT (and it's just started bucketing again while I tap these keys)

(Up here the Vaal Dam is supposed to reach 100% by the end of the weekend, with a flood risk to surrounding properties, while you guys down in WC are almost out of water  .. I hope it rains soon for you guys)

So, because of how wet it's been, trails were avoided, tar it was and we chased lycra in the Cradle this morning..

we got snippets of sun here and there, but mostly overcast with a a light sprinkle...

 

I also got to play with my new GoPro a bit
