NOT my pic, but pretty much shows how I felt at the top of Stairway to Heaven this afternoon ....

 

 

 

Car was parked in the shade and showed 33 degrees !!

 

 

Cycled all the way up, non-stop, and no walking ....     for this noob that is a milestone.     

 

 

Does help that another gent also took some serious strain in getting up there in the heat.  Not so much that another was idling up there in "mid-gear", just idling along and having patience with the noobs ....your encouragement WAS appreciated.

To Kingskloof for some rock, sceaneary and route hunting. Still seems a pretty well kept secret with very little use. Still feels like an adventure.

It's a scorcher of a day out but I couldn't think of a better place to spend that last day than shredding some trails in Paarl.

We rode on the other side of the buffalo river today. Had about 70 club members join the ride.

 

Great views of gulu mouth and the pineapple farms, will definitely be going back soon.

 

Enjoyed a few cold ones and some great roosterkoek at Shabanga after the ride

Yep, we are the biggest MTB club in the Eastern Cape with around 600 members.

Average club ride is usually 50-80 people
