Yes it is expensive, but, and it's a big but, the logistics to arrange these races are immense. Plus, the organisers earn a living from this so they have to make a profit as well.

No, i get that, and i didnt mean they are not allowed to set their prices with everything taken in account. I am just saying its getting to much for me, so i am opting out at this stage. And i really really want to go ride

When the price is hidden everywhere on the website and only revealed at the enter stage just before payment, is a dead giveaway that it's pricey (unless I missed it somewhere else). Always a turnoff for me to have to hunt down the price.

Love the race I've done a few times, and still want to crack the 6.4h time. But yeah, entry is only one cost factor to consider......

hahaha odds are looking good then...

 

have experienced heat(with a tummy bug), rain (albiet only very bad toward the end) and chilly (the august editon) conditions before.

 

will try and rope in a mate or 2 to make logistics easier and cheaper.

Did this race in 2015. Vowed never to do it again. So far I have remained true to my word. Long may it last.
