  1. That workshop [emoji7]
  2. No audiophile will pass on the opportunity to let others audition his system. I hope there was copious amounts of nods of approval whilst being forced to listen to Diana Krall and Stereophile test tracks.
  3. Agreed, it's akin to people using the same old argument; "but what about the children". Let's not pretend we really give a toss.
  4. It's decent quality plastics. It won't just break on you if you don't abuse it. Depending on what you want to do, it's pretty useful. I only use it strategically to hide screws in cupboard installations. It works great with drawers to hide screws on butt joints, especially when you use under mount sliders. It's a bit more effort to clamp and screw together as panels tend move more whilst driving in screws. Suppose those special clamps will help a lot though, but I only have the standard clamp that came with the K5 jig, as well as those corner clamps which actually works surprisingly well. You can buy cheaper bits and screws from Hardware center - think the brand is Milescraft. There are also other brands out there that seems to be better quality than Kreg - check on Amazon/Axminster - although shipping is too expensive now.
  5. There's a certain purple dj bike that was listed a few times already - and coincidentally it didn't get cheaper with the new listings.
  6. For those who're not familiar with Colin Furze;
  7. You're right, it's all opinions, but then be open to new or different ones as well. This thread is not exactly 386 pages dedicated to plebs discussing whether Nescafe gold is good coffee now is it?
  8. That's Capetonians (on the left) when they go past the boerewors curtain on that day trip to the Boland...better fill up at the Engen 1stop.
  9. Festool's one is even better.
  10. at least it's an improvement on that muffintop headtube.
  11. What are you looking for in a brake? They're not exactly comparing apples. Hopes aren't very powerful even in their e4 guise, the x2 will be even less. The curas are crazy strong stoppers, but their levers have a moto feel to it, and if you're used to Guides/Codes, they can feel too big. Not sure about maintenance on them, but it's one of Hope's strong points - something you'll appreciate if you're coming from Shimano brakes.
  12. That’s what she said. Ok, I’ll show myself out now.
  13. I've been contemplating having someone make me one of those SNS. Should be straight forward build for any decent metal worker. Think if the weather is going to hold, I'm 'low-n-slowin' some pork this weekend. Ribs and a shoulder for some pulled-pork nachos.
  14. One bottle is usually enough for a 3 hour ride. Anything longer, and I get bored and go home. On 35+ deg C days I'll fill up in one of the mountain streams.
  15. dat blue tho.
  16. If I'm buying a new bike this year, this will be at the top of the list. Just depends what the new Scott Spark will look like.
  17. Didn’t know you get rattlesnakes here in SA [emoji51]
  18. Wow, going through the BOM, I can't believe that a Reverb AXS is R15k and it doesn't even drop by itself. Those Roval wheels are also crazy expensive at R44k, but then again they are super light.
  19. Years before CT started with their shark spotting, a family member in the Navy showed us footage they regularly took of sharks chilling out between bathers. They've always been there, and I don't think we've seen any significant increase in attacks over the last few years since we've became 'aware' of them.
  20. Like those brightly coloured Solomons trail running shoes. I've only seen them on people not even capable of running to the toilet. I personally find it embarrassing if my performance doesn't match the gear. And when I look at these s-works riders that climb up all the way to Saaltjie only to turn around at the trailhead (some even stop and take a photo of the board) and take the fire road down again, I just think to myself...money can buy you nice things (which I have plenty myself too), but norrafok can it buy you skills and balls.
  21. I'm pretty sure some streaming service will be eager to pick up the tab if the cable/dstv brigade go bust.
  22. Neither. Looks like a Western Diamondback rattlesnake.
