The use of LiDAR showing the presence of huge settlements near and within the Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve.

 

I really enjoy reading history. This is a real great find adding to a bigger picture of the happenings in Southern Africa from the post classical era of the AD period to the time of the 1820 settlers.

The Mission Earth decalogy used up a fair chunk of my childhood! A few years ago I scoured old bookshops and reaquired the full set. They should a standard read for all youngsters.

Not too young though. That series had some interesting adult scenes.

I did find that L.Ron Hubbard seemed to be a bit of a pedophile though.. a few under-aged scenes in both the Mission earth and battlefield Earth.

Men of that era don't have a great track record when it comes to women & children. Throw in the lunatic fringe caused by scientology and LRH has been called satanic, paedophilia, evil, alcoholic etc - who knows how much of it is true.

 

The books did have a "young woman" theme though!
