Except with cheese you arent killing a living creature.

 

1. Is it time for a lacto-ovo vegeterianism thread? We can call it the L-OVe thread :-D 

2. Many cheeses are made with animal rennets (especially imported cheeses in SA), which are definitely an animal product. Admittedly local cheeses do often use non-animal rennets - I assume you read your labels carefully.

3. Bacteria? Cheeses are made with living cultures which generally don't survive the production process either.

On your point no. 3 then ... would it be fair to assume vegans should also not drink beer or consume bread either .... I recon they can live on air, hot air, and lots of it  :whistling:  :ph34r:

Not sure about vegans but I know when I make my meat free lentil curry I certainly produce a lot of hot air the next day...

You can eat whatever you like

But

A) don’t force me to eat it too

B) don’t try and pass it off as something it is not by giving it another name.

C) don’t expect me to agree with your choices.
