Very popular here in Dubai. And from what I’ve seen pretty handy in the dunes. Endless mods to customize too.

You automatic drivetrain car owners .... do you also make pre-made "TV Meals", wear croc's and ride e-bikes ...........

Will this satisfy you?

Oh BTW, seeing as your wife does all the driving in your household, did you really have a say when you bought a car for the family?

as a petrol head there is something magical about driving enthusiastically in a manual, hitting the right gear to balance the car through a corner, bringing the power in smoothly etc.

But for everyday driving needs a modern auto box just does such a good job.

Agreed, and as a fan of big diesel engines in high torque applications a well timed double clutch makes me happy. The Auto in my Isuzu trucks is totally uninspiring, but the right choice when someone else drives your trucks.

My current bakkie is the last one I will buy in manual. It's a pain to drive a big manual car in traffic....

I know purists are all about manual gearboxes, but even the average auto gearboxes these days are pretty dam good. The only cars I would not buy in auto are these super small turbo charged engines that are all power and no torque... Autos just don't work on them.

Nee Greasy, jy is net lui.

Wil jy vir my sê jy hou van daai manual gearbox in jou Ranger? Nee man... dalk in 'n GTI of 'n 911, maar nie in 'n bakkie nie.

I just made sure it had a tow bar for the bike rack .... that is all that is important :)

My previous car ... when shopping for it, I would cycle to the dealership with my bicycle to see if it would fit in the boot ... true story!

Wie’s 7h klaar gebraai op n Vrydagaand?

#minwyntydenslockdown

Defs nie 'n GTI of 911 as dit kom by opwinding nie.

Mate of mine did the same, wanted two bikes to fit without taking off the wheels. Ended up buying a Caddy. Edited by PhilipV
