I went over to the dark side and got myself this Garmin Fenix 3 HR Sapphire.

I'm impressed!

Also have this watch face - how do I customize it?

Where was this ordered from??

www.on-one.co.uk - they had some weird set of sales that ran from Black Friday to... well it's still going on. The finoboci (?) sale I couldn't get a handle on as prices changes daily but when I checked the site one day there was a lot of very good parts going very cheap for about 6 hours so I bought. That Dee Dar steel frame was less than £100 and the finishing kit was going for nothing. Wish I'd bought more to be honest but with Rands you just question everything.

I had my eye on a huber of options while I was in the uK but then a death in the family took my focus else where and when that was dealt with I just bought what was going as I was there and came back.

Not strictly a 'buy' but has to be added as one of the only cycling related presents that non cycling relo's buy you that you don't try to donate to the local boy scouts or the salvos. Not specialized TWAT but his takes the prize as inspired present and damn useful, so much so I've added a bottle cage on my trail bike and that is a first... not that I use the cage for a bottle but at this rate i'll have no need for my back pack (if they work out where to stash the folding shovel)! ;)

X2 from Evans Cycles R6000 saving

Apologies for quoting a post from last year, but did I miss the overseas Garmin sale ban being lifted? I remember around Black Friday time Evan's Cycles saying they don't ship Garmins to SA anymore per the supplier's request.

If it's been lifted, guess whose getting a new toy

New Marvel wheels from my friends at CWC

Those Marvel's were tempting and look even better on the bike.

Are the rims tubeless ready.?

Sportful bib shorts...cos hey, if Contador and Sagan use them they must be good.

First try will be tomorrow...

I saw those at cycle lab when I was shopping for my first ever pair but went for a cheaper entry level one from First Accent.

Would be interested to hear your experience with them as I will want to buy another pair.
