Finally unboxed my new wheels last night - bought them for Black Friday, but it took a while to get the right rotors and cassette. Older tyres with tubes for now, will test tubeless once the new tyres arrive.

With the 23mm internal width, the 28mm tyres look massive!
Undecided on using them for the Herald this weekend, as I have no idea how they will handle in the wind.

Update - wheels on the bike:

"Lovely jubbly" choice.  Edit:  Also, great looking bike.  What do you think of the Bomber Z2?  FWIW I fitted a 140mm version to my hardtail (previously had 120mm Rockshox) and it’s been excellent on a variety of trails.  Unfussy to setup and easy to service with a Fox 34 kit, just the way I like it.

Thank you.

So far so good with the fork although only one ride in and the tyre pressure was a bit high. Did the tubeless conversion the night before so had the psi higher than normal (expecting some leakage).

The ride did feel a bit firm (99% its the tyres) but over the big rocks/drops/jumps it was smooth and dependable so no complaints. My other bike has a Pike on so the bar is set pretty high for the Z2 and so far I haven't noticed any drastic shortcomings (besides the Marzocci sticker being a bit skew :p)
