Point is the sport needs to be cleaned up. And they need not stop at testing elite riders. They need to target the Sub vet, Vet & Masters categories as well!! These guys have the money to "afford" performance-enhancing drugs and more chance to "hide" it..

For those youngsters looking for some inspiration, yes it is possible to race and win without taking drugs. Where there is money, there will always be cheats and DG is not the only one in South Africa.

 

There are 2 things to remember, firstly that you should be involved in a sport because you love it, the second is what sense of achievement you will have if you decide to take drugs to win.

The busts in cricket are pretty frequent - just in the last couple of months we've had England county players banned / jailed and a no. of umpires rounded up and booted out on the sub-continent.

If you've watched movies like 3min Gaps, Follow Me, Tipping Point et, then you'll find Epic Snail slow and a good choice to fall asleep in front of the TV.

 

After seeing the above mentioned movies, I found it very hard to get excited over a movie about guys mostly road riding as they train for the Epic, then fail at their campagne.

I disagree, while it was clearly a huge bummer that kevin evans used skimpy brakes on stage 1 and basically ended the chance of a decent plot, it was definitely worth watching. I think if you go back to reviews on here from when it came out you'll find they're mostly +tive.

 

Sure it's tarnished by today's news, but it doesn't really affect the memory of it for me.

Plenty other riders owned up the last week or two without being caught. And more often than not, when you speed you don't know it untill the camera flashes. He has known for a long time and kept quiet.
