Carbon frame enudro bikes ? 

 

 

I might have the oppertunity to get A carbon enduro bike in A month or two but Im worried about the frame or rock strikes 

 

its an awesome bike but Im a bit weary

Carbon is stronger than you think. My carbon bike took lots and lots if rock strikes at Klipberg and Ezel (audible "oh ****, that's the end of my frame" rock strikes) and there is no damage whatsoever. There is however a bit of an old tyre strapped to my downtube for particularly rocky rides - I'd do that with alu or steel too though.

 

All that being said, my next Enduro frame will be a steel frame (Mercer, Cotic, Shan, etc). Although I know carbon can take the hit, there is always that thought/illusion of it being fragile that I never experience when I'm on a steel bike.

I share pretty mucht the same sentiment , abused the hell out of my cotic ( damn i miss that bike ) and never worried about the frame 

 

 

Carbon bike will defo have some decent protection layers on.

 

I'm more worried about when i fall and fling the bike rather than rocks flying up on the trials , if that makes sense ?
