There is a guy who makes CDI units, Jannie is his name.

Need one for RM 125 and just wanted to know if anyone had used him before

Jannie is well known in the Cape, I actually thought you were referring to him.

I haven't used him personally but our whatsapp group members use him religiously

There's a guy in the US who specializes in building CDI's for old IT's and aircooled YZ's - I actually had quite a long chat to him over email regarding building an Electronic Ignition for the Scrambler I built. He was telling me about the setup he had built - an old set of IT cases and a crank driven by an electric motor so he could vary the speed while he mapped the ignition curve.  Really nice down to earth kind of guy and very knowledgeable - and if you read the YamahaIT forums, his modern ignition system for the IT's and YZ's are way better than the OEM originals

I have always liked the Monster, always fancied the 1200. I realize now that I do not need such a beast. But to ride one just once.......!

I've found satisfying my WANT rather than my NEED to be much more fulfilling. [emoji6]

Which is why my sensible choice of next motorcycle (although not actually a need in that I do have my perfectly able little KLR) an Africa Twin CRF1000, is in danger of being sidelined for a post 2008 Hyabusa!

Perhaps a weak argument for “need” is the poor comfort for a pillion on the KLR............well, my excuse anyway!

Finally got my Suzuki DR600 back from the mechanic on Friday.

Went riding with my boy on Sunday and also got the wife on the DR as she's been wanting to learn for a while. 4e7176978493d22a76eeb457c702d404.jpg6d2ac5b2727b68e02472d619166fdf32.jpgd2b2cd103e230b1f0f76bbc84ff40c12.jpg

Your lad is getting some good airtime there!
