Here's my Monday whine - prompted by my race on Saturday... and a number of other races.

Riders walking on the riding line - esp. when there is plenty of space next to it. GRRR.

If someone knows the commissionaires, could they not include a short comment in their pre-race briefing saying something like 'If you are walking, please do your best to walk off the riding line'.

And no lady, walking in the riding line and cheerfully moving out of it only when requested by each person riding up behind you doesn't cut it.

Just get off the ****** riding line.

Rant done. Monday, bring it on...

This is probably the thing I hate most in MTB races!

I have to say though that the guys (and girls) during the Sani this year was very considerate.

I'm curious, how did that slow lady walking the "lines" get ahead of you in the first place

the guys in the a and b batches are all very considerate, they even fall away from the racing line, maybe work for a better seeding

Dave, I dare you to write a letter about it to Bicycling Magazine

Jirre - too scared!

Ja, Kevin Evans even takes a whole different line to avoid clogging up the riding line. Respect.

My friend and i were discussing this on Sunday. sometimes the right hand side of the trail is more noob friendly and we ride it, and ppl get annoyed and come up wanting to pass on the right .. just know we're not doing this to be spiteful .. we just dont' have the skills to navigate the ruts on the left.

but the amount of black jacks i collect is evidence of how far left i try to keep, whether i'm slogging painfully slowly up a hill or pulled over to um "enjoy the view"

Another pet hate is when you drop a bottle or something else and slam on brakes with no regard for people behind you, those individuals also need to be dragged into the street and shot in the back of the head at dawn.
