Have you gone to SAPS and reported it and opened a case of at least negligent driving - you need to do so even if you did not get her details because she technically absconded - could be a hit and run case. My wife is on my case about riding on the road nowadays. And u were hit by the car. Obviously the car was behind you. That's not your fault!!!!!
